Germany introduced the minimum wage in January 2015. It applies to all workers aged over 18 and is reviewed every two years. Over the course of 2021 and 2022, it will rise in four steps:

Germany has a government-mandated minimum wage. No worker in Germany should be paid less than this minimum pay rate.
Employers in Germany who do not pay the Minimum Wage may be subject to punishment by the government of Germany.
